As much as we lament the end of summer, we are always downright giddy for fall! The colour of the leaves, the hint of crisp in the air, and a well-served break from grilling everything we can get our hands on.
We can’t remember the last time we sipped on hot soup or ordered our lattes without ice. So we are happily heading to the kitchen to do some batch cooking and get ready to soak in every second of the season.
Pumpkin recipes might seem a bit obvious when we’re talking about fall recipes but we can’t help it. Look at how rich and gorgeous this looks! We might be living a cliche because we’re going to dive into this while wrapped in scarves on a patio while sipping a pumpkin spice latte.
Now, this is a show-stopper! Canadian Thanksgiving comes up pretty fast after summer ends and we’ll be shooting our hands in the air to offer to make this. Forget the usual casserole, we want this stunning mushroom tart.
The thing about this recipe is that it’s a cost-efficient meal (it’s only veggies and grains!) and it’s incredibly filling. Serve us this with a fresh kale and cranberry salad, and we’re happy campers!

We put this mac and cheese in our list of fall recipes but we can agree that mac and cheese is timeless and can be served any time of year, any time of day, and for any occasion, right?
