Have we convinced you that you need to start including spirulina in your diet yet? If not, it may be time to revisit our old posts on the wonderous algae here, here, or here. Recently we also dived into CBD oil, why it’s becoming so popular and why it might be worth giving it a try.

All really great information, you’re thinking. But how the heck am I supposed to eat enough of these things? I can only have so many smoothies!

Don’t worry, we have you covered. We recently whipped up this delicious, beautiful, and simple recipe for a Spirulina Raw Vegan Cheesecake with CBD Oil and we’re sharing it with you!

  • 1 cup of raisins
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (unsweetened)
  • 2.5 cups of cashews soaked in water overnight
  • 1/4-1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp of spirulina
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • dash of salt
  • 24 drops of CBD oil (assuming you’ll cut the cake into 8 pieces or more)

The amount of CBD oil you put in the cake is going to depend on how much you’re comfortable consuming, here’s a good reference as to how much is recommended.

  • Mix the raisins and coconut shreds in the blender, then press the mixture to the bottom of your cake pan
  • Add everything else to the blender- add spirulina and maple syrup to taste, it should be thick like pancake batter
  • Pour into your cake pan and freeze (cover with tin foil or plastic if you’re freezing longer than 8 hours)

When you’re ready to serve, take the cake out of the freezer and into the fridge at least an hour beforehand.
