We’re only a couple of weeks into 2020 but we are feeling it! Are you? We’re seeing a ton of momentum around Veganuary and so much demand for nutrient-rich whole foods. We are here for it! So we spent the afternoon on a hunt for some gloriously healthy green dishes for you to keep feeling good and nourished for the rest of the month.
The way to our hearts is through meal prep. Something we can whip up the night before while listening to our true crime podcasts and then grab to snack on in front of our laptops at work and this recipe has it all! Look at that colour, those pops of fruit, that crunch, and of course, SPIRULINA!
Protein bites and bliss balls are going to get even bigger this year. Expect to see them at your favourite cafes, at the checkout aisle, and in all the cool kid’s lunches. It’s because when done right, they’re extremely filling, low sugar, and will keep you energized for hours.
We almost feel like this one is cheating when it comes to eating healthy, because what isn’t delicious and satisfying with guacamole!?! We’re going to make these crackers and then save them for the end of a rainy day when we feel like crashing on the couch and finally diving into The Witcher on Netflix.
We’ll admit it. The first time we read ‘Rainbow Kelp Salad’ we thought this might have been something from Portlandia. But once we saw these bright and beautiful salad pictures, we were sold! And get ready for another 2020 trend, which is sea kelp and sea vegetables. Many of them are sustainable, nutrient-dense, and add a delicious umami flavour.
